Celebrating the ‘End of Summer’ at Central Library

Sunday 1st September, 2013
1.00pm – 3.00pm: Ground Floor Courtyard, Central Library End of Summer Tree

Come and join us in celebrating the ‘End of Summer’ for a diverse cultural mix of Poetry, Art and Asian Dance & Music – a stimulation for the senses! The Blue Gate Poets and SAPAC (South Asian Performing Arts Committee) will get together to present a heady mix of Poetry, Music & Dance performed against a backdrop of Art Works specially created by Monika Tobel (Swindon Artsite).

There will also be various activities for children including: Origami, Face Painting, and Asian Arts & Craft as well as ‘Share a Story’ where we invite you to bring a book you enjoyed reading during the Summer and share it with us – Adults can bring a book too!

Entry for the Courtyard Event is FREE event – all welcome: come and join the celebrations!

Central Library will also be celebrating the ‘End of Summer’ by hosting a chilled-out Afternoon Acoustic Music Session. There will be fantastic music from Pedal Folk (Robin Grey, Tim Graham and Katie Stone Lonergan) who make a much welcomed return to Central as part of their 2nd Pedal Folk Cycle Tour.
