Wroughton Library news: December

Wroughton LibraryThe Family History Group meeting date for December is Friday 6th December at 5.00pm. After a successful display featuring members’ stories and the Wiltshire Domesday Book we have had a great deal of interest.

Our regular Children’s story time and singalong are on Tuesday mornings 10.30 – 11.00.  Dates are 3rd, 10th, and 17th December. A coffee morning will be held from 11.00 on Tuesday 3rd December.  Santa will be coming to visit us at our story time on 17th December.

Wroughton Library Reading Group will meet on Friday 13th December 11-12 to discuss ‘Habits of the House’ by Fay Weldon. New members are always welcome.

Wroughton teenage areaOur very popular Games Afternoon will be on Thursday 12th December from 2 – 4pm. Look for this in the teenage section when the exhibition Area is being used. Come along and play a hand of cards or an ‘old fashioned’ board game. All ages’ welcome.

Free Health Check day is on Thursday 19th December. If you are aged between 40 – 70, registered with a Swindon area GP and not on regular medication then pop into the library or give us a ring on 01793 798112 and book a half hour slot.

Look out for Christana’s jewellery demonstrations. Her jewellery is on sale along with glass jewellery, glass boxes and Mary’s knitting.
The Library Knitting Group continues to meet on Monday afternoon from 2-4pm. Knit, exchange patterns, a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit for 40p. What more could you wish for?
