Feed Their Dreams for National Libraries Day 2016!

NLD Under 5s Card Competition Poster-page-0On the weekend of 6th February, we are holding some FREE special events, to celebrate National Libraries Day 2016, and to highlight the importance of sharing stories with children.

Libraries play a huge role in supporting early language & literacy development through their programmes and activities.  For National Libraries Day 2016, Swindon Libraries want to encourage parents to ‘feed their children’s dreams’ through exploring books and reading.

This includes a competition for all parents using an under 5s ticket throughout February. Those using a ticket will go into a special draw to win £100 experience voucher. So join up your children, get using your library and be in with a chance to win!

Local theatre company Sixth Sense Theatre for Young People will be supporting the day, by sharing some performances at the Central Library. There will also be dads & toddlers Rhyme-Time activity session at North Swindon and Highworth libraries, as well as the regular sessions that take place across Swindon Libraries.
