Author talk and book signing: Dianne Pane

Dianne Pane’s book is a “docu-drama of the First World War”, a fictionalised account of her grandfather – who went to Mesopotamia in WW1 as a member of the RAMC, armed with his medical kit. As a Conscientious Objector he refused to kill because according to his simple faith, ‘Thou shall not kill, ‘ meant what it said.

Dianne Pane was born in Swindon in 1948 and grew up on the Wiltshire downs in the village of Chiseldon, which she still regards as home.
