Join us at the Central Library as we explore the world of magic and psychic powers with Vic James and Brian Clegg.

Are these abilities real and what could the world be like if they were?

The evening will be split into two parts where we explore firstly the scientific research being conducted into such phenomena as telepathy and telekinesis with award winning local science writer

Extra sensory

                          Brian Clegg

Brian will be talking on his book ‘Extra Sensory’.

We’d all love to have ‘psi’ abilities like telepathy, telekinesis, and remote viewing. But is there any solid evidence to back up these talents, or are they nothing more than fantasy?

There will be some copies of the book Extra Sensory to be given away on the night on a first come first served basis…

Then we explore the fantasy and imagine what the world could be like if some people did have such abilities, as we delve into the dark Dystopian world created by…

Vic James

… in her ‘Dark Gifts’ Trilogy, the first book of which, ‘Gilded Cage’ is one of the selected World Book Night 2018 Books.
