Swindon Libraries and Information Service are updating our Library Management System in order to keep up to date with new developments and to continue to provide our users with the best possible experience that we can. You will notice that the online catalogue and your account will look different once this goes live towards the end of April.
You’ll still be able to do everything that you can already such as renew your books, access your account details, view the catalogue and request books as well as enjoy lots of new functions like viewing all your families loans on one screen where you can renew everyone’s books together and much more as functions come on line.
Why are we doing this?
Our current contract for the supply of the Library Management System (LMS) was coming to an end so we had the opportunity to review it to see if we could offer a better service to our users. We feel that the new system will enable us to provide an improved service and we are sure that you will agree once you start to use it.
Whilst staff will have been trained on the new LMS and will assist you to use the system once we are live, we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as both staff and users familiarise themselves with the new system.
More details will follow nearer the launch date.
