‘Out‘ by Natsuo Kirino (translated from the Japanese by Stephen Snyder) has proved a hit with readers.
This story follows four women factory workers in Tokyo who dream of escaping their dead-end lives. When one of them murders her womanising, gambling husband, a chain of events begins which sees all four pursued by the police, the Japanese underworld, and a ruthless nightclub owner framed by the police for the murder.
